Jakob Hirzel
Dear Visitor! Welcome to this website. I hope, your visit will bring luck to both of us, to me as well as to you.

Business is about people. Therefore, let me introduce myself. My name is Jakob Hirzel. I was born and bred in Switzerland. Now, I stay about six months per year in China and the other six months in Switzerland.

I am here to solve two main problems for European buyers: Information and trust. Firstly, I want to provide potential European customers with the information they need in order to take decisions. Secondly, I want them to have a partner in China that has the same cultural background as they have, so that there are less misunderstandings.

On the other side, I'd like to build trustful and longterm partnerships to Chinese manufacturers and service providers. This website shall serve the purpose of collecting structured information about companies and their products or services.

To live in China and to work with Chinese people is a most fascinating experience for me. Every now and then, I write short essays about my experiences. my impressions of Chinese people and companies. If you would like to get these essays, please let me know.

I enjoy learning a lot. So, I was able to get a Master of Laws and a Master of Arts at the University of St. Gall, which is the most famous business university in German speaking Europe. I like to talk about all kinds of business-topics, but what interests me most, are the details, the little things that make the big difference.

Lenaia Ltd.
In Switzerland I run a little company called Lenaia Ltd. We organize camping trips in the beautiful landscapes of Switzerland. Our customers are mostly schools. They stay with us for a week, live in tents and cook on the fire. We teach them different skills like how to start a fire without matches or lighter or how to make a knifeblade from flint-stone. We want to give the children a chance to get in contact with nature and to find peace and calm in the simple life in the countryside. I myself have spent several summers out in nature, from spring to fall, teaching people primitive survival-skills.

A few times, I fastened all alone in nature for about one week. This was hard at the beginning and very fulfilling towards the end. It was a way for me to discover the invisible connection to everything that surrounds us. Whenever I can, I like to go for a walk in nature.
